Designing on the Isle of Elba: economic development and a regained identity

Designing on contaminated soils enhances local manufacturing, creating new opportunities and helping strengthen the economic fabric. To fully unlock the potential of this project, we focused on greenfields, reclaiming a series of abandoned ruins and putting them through a significant transformation. From the recovery of a neglected vineyard, we have given back meaning and expanded the area, returning this wine-making manufacturing force to its pivotal role. Through our regenerative architecture, the Isle of Elba, with a position of strong tourist appeal, emerges as a place to invest in to preserve its cultural and environmental identity, and fully express its potential.

Rural villages and economic awakenings

Investing in rural villages and in developing the local economy is a remarkably significant technical opportunity. According to our analyses, Italy’s territorial potential includes more than 6,000 rural villages that are now neglected, and areas such as the Poggio alle Ceppete farm on the Isle of Elba, marked by a still largely uncharted territory, offer latent economic potential. The redevelopment, implemented by building infrastructure such as a wine-making cellar and the reclamation of buildings for the agritourism business, preserves the natural and cultural environment and stimulates an economic reawakening.

Rural tourism, investing in favour of authenticity and diversification

Rural tourism emerges as a promising investment sector and a new architectural trend: it attracts people searching for authentic experiences away from the metropolises, offering a relaxing and culturally enriching alternative. Investing in this kind of projects means benefiting from economic diversification within the market, reducing dependence on specific sectors such as agriculture. In fact, projects such as this incentivize promotion of the initiative and of local culture and a sustainable handling of resources.

Ecologically sustainable architecture for a harmonious return to nature

We complete our projects in accordance with ESG principles, ensuring the utmost respect for the environment. We start from a notion of a return to nature, implementing a gentle and ecologically sustainable architecture that instils new life into unused land. Our project-related actions are inspired by sustainable development that meets the needs of tourists and host communities, protecting future opportunities at the same time and preserving culturalxaintegrity, natural balances, and biodiversity. We use environmentally friendly materials; we select effective, durable resources that respect nature. Our choice does not only pertain to local materials, but also to solutions from regenerable raw materials.

Circular Architecture at the service of authentic well-being

Our novel approach to architecture, centred on a return-based, circular mindset, offers 360-degree improvement for nature and for people who decide to invest in value-rich projects. This philosophy is the key to success for the magical places we design, generating ripe fruits for all the stakeholders. People’s growing desire to evade from the city’s frantic routine finds an answer in our projects, such as the Isle of Elba green resort, where outdoor sports, wellness, and natural products are the perfect ingredients for an experiential holiday. Nature, culture, landscape, high-quality gastronomy and outdoor activities remain the leading drivers for travel, enriched by meeting local food opportunities, which make green tourism a perfect synergy between relax and adventure.

Various forms of hospitality: a green rebirth for any plot of land

Transforming rough land into a green opportunity is an act of dedication, and we do so in multiple ways. Besides the classic resort and agritourism, we experiment with innovative forms of hospitality, meeting new demands and getting people closer and closer to nature. Glamping, tree houses, agritourism, and agri-camping are only a few examples of how to transform a location into a unique oasis, respecting the environment and offering unique and memorable experiences.
